We sometimes forget how the sun, color and certain foods can affect our skin, hair, and health. The number one thing to remember for our skin is to apply sun screen every day! A little Vitamin D is good, but too much is incredibly bad for your skin. Our skin is with us forever… so take care of it. A weekly mask, a nightly facial and daily moisturiser goes along way. If you establish a healthy facial regimen while you are young you will with thank yourself when you get older.

Hair is extremely important to women; dry brittle hair is not a good look. Try these fun natural products that you can use in your hair a few times a month to keep it looking strong, healthy, and grow faster. 

Natural Treatments to help your hair grow faster and thicker: leaving coconut milk in your hair for an hour no more than once a week will help it grow faster and thicker.

Treatment for dry or damaged hair: Warm about 1/4 cup of olive oil in the microwave apply to your hair, cover your hair with a plastic cap and let it sit in your hair for 30-60 minutes, rinse shampoo, than condition!

A few tips to remember to protect your hair from environmental damages is: M

  • Make sure you use a leave-in conditioner especially in the summer months and don’t forget that before you jump in the pool, make sure to apply a leave-in conditioner to protect from chlorine and salt water.
  • If you’re doing your color at home make sure you follow directions and always to a deep conditioning treatment with tons of vitamins, minerals, and proteins! A deep conditioning treatment should not be done more than once a week.
  • Before blow drying and styling you should also use products to protect your hair from the heat! Color, blow drying, and styling tools do not cause hair loss, but they can dry the hair and damage the hair if it is not protected.
  • Vitamins are also extremely important! Your body produces 11 of the 20 amino acids your hair needs, the remaining 9 must come from your daily diet; so drinking water and eating healthy really helps the condition of your hair. What you put in your body affects your skin and hair, so treat it right, pamper yourself and take the time to look and feel your best. Don’t be afraid to trim that hair, haircuts will also help to eliminate those dry ends!
